GUWAHATI: The Assam government has declared January 21 as Public Holiday in Council areas of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC), Mising Autonomous Council (MAC) and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council (SKAC) on account of council elections on this date under the NI act.
All the Government and Non-Government Offices, Educational Institutions, Business Establishments including Banks, Tea Garden and Industrial Institutions etc, falling within the respective Council areas of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, Mising Autonomous Council and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council, will remain closed.
While the poll in Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC), Mising Autonomous Council (MAC) and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council (SKAC) will start from on January 21, the counting will start from 8 am on January 28.
