“anyassemble/procession/dharna or any sort of gathering of people or group of people within the
periphery of the university campus without prior approval of the authority is hereby strictly prohibited until further order.”

All Cachar Karimganj Hailakandi Students Association founder president and BJP leader Pradip Dutta Roy criticized the Assam University authorities for imposing ban.
“The students should be allowed to exercise their democratic rights on issues
pertaining to the society. AU should not have imposed these restrictions,”
Dutta Roy said.
