TRADE UNION GEARS UP FOR 2 DAY STRIKE ON JAN 8-9 : WHILE SEMESTER EXAMS WILL BE ON
It is for the general information that Trade unions in the country are gearing up to organise a 48-hour-long nationwide general strike on January 8-9 2019.
The failure to fulfil the promise of creating over 1 crore jobs a year has been an important reason cited by the trade unions for organising the strike against the Modi government. According to Labour Bureau statistics, 1.55 lakh jobs and 2.31 lakh jobs were created in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
Adding fuel to the fire, a large number of small-scale industries were shut down, according to a statement of the National Convention of Workers.
Panchgram paper mill is one of its victims. Over 70 lakh people lost their jobs due to this.
On 8th of Jan all the industries shall remain close such as Banks & shops.
On 9th of Jan from 5am-5pm everything will be closed. All sort of vehicle, office, court, school, college, shops.
The students of schools & Assam university who has exam on 8 & 9 can go to their respective schools & colleges by showing their Admit card as a proof.
