Silchar, June 9, 2019 :The massive fire broke out at the Silchar-Thiruvananthapuram Express train stationed at the Silchar Railway station on June 9th, 2019 morning(Sunday).
The train which departs from Silchar on Tuesday was stationed at the pit line.
As per reports, the fire first broke out at the pantry car of the train and later speared to two other coaches triggering panic among the passengers waiting outside platform no.3 of the railway station.
The station administration refused to speculate on the cause of the fire, instead, they said that the Silchar fire service and SDRF personnel are trying to douse the fire. After the fire is brought under control, an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire informed a senior official. There are no reports of any human injury yet.
