4 out of 16 Barak valley Jawans killed in Himachal Building collapse bought back.
Twenty-eight people, including 17 Army personnel and 11 civilians, were injured after a four-story building, which housed a restaurant, collapsed on the Nahan-Kumarhatti Road in Himachal Pradesh following heavy rains.
The dead bodies of 4 Jawans who were killed in Himachal due to building collapse were bought back to silchar on Tuesday.
Out of 16 Jawans 14 died & the rests got injured due to the collapse of the 4 storied building which housed as a restaurant situated on Nahan-kumarhatti road at Solan due to heavy rainfall. Also 11 local inhibitats were also injured & were admitted to the local hospital.
The Jawans who belong to Barak valley & losts their life in this misshap were-
Mr. Ajit Kumar Singh ( Hilakandi, Assam),
Mr. Rajkishor Sinha (Hilakandi, Assam),
Mr. Sujit Sinha ( karimganj, Assam), &
kumar Chorei (Karimganj, Assam).
Earlier, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur visited the spot to take stock of the rescue work. He also paid a visit to the hospitals to inquire about the health of the injured.
The Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said an FIR has been registered against the owner of the building.
"There are more such buildings in the state. Owners have constructed them without following building by-laws. Whatever is required to be done, will be done to check it," Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said in response to queries by the media.
