Enormous Road accident at Karimganj-Silchar Road: 3 Dead 35 injured.
Two traveller buses packed with passengers were traveling from Karimganj . One was traveling towards silchar & another towards Hilakandi. There was approximately 50 passengers.
According to one of the passengers, when the buses were crossing Bhanga Bazar started competing each other & both were successful for one time. But about 500 meters from Bhanga Bazar one of the buses lost control & colloided with the other & the other bus also lost its control. After that both the buses rolled down in the near by pond. The native people of that area jumped into the pond to rescue the drowning passengers.
As per information, as many 10 are featured to be dead while more than 35 are injured. All of them were admitted to Silchar Medical College & Hospital. It is also heard that a baby is missing in this misshap.
This accident got captured in the CCTV camera installed in nearby building. A local people said that the dept of the pond was not so deep so they could rescue people immediately. A local people said that they also got school bag, chappal & many other stations stuffs.
