1.Couple serves legal notice to airline for lost luggage.
Silchar an elderly couple of Banipara, Silchar have picked upon Indian Airlines lit allegedly misplacing their luggage while on (their way back from Mumbai to Silchar last month. It was on October 3 this year that Biswajyoti Chakraborty (68) and his wife Purna Chakraborty (57) had filed a complaint against Indian Airlines for misplacing their luggage while on their Indian Airlines flight from Mumbai to Silchar via Kolkata. As of this date, their luggage Is yet to be handed over to them.The couple has alleged that Indian Airlines has been treated their case ‘very casually.’
"we boarded Indian Airlines Flight Al774 from Mumbai to kolkata on october 2 After a few hours halt, we boarded Indian Airlines Flight Al 753 from Kolkata to Silchar on October 3, Upon arrival,we noticed that one trolley, out of four trolleys.was missing We immediately lodged a complaint with the airlines authority but even after all these days, nothing has been done,” said a distraught Biswajyoti Chakraborty. He said that the trolley had valuable doruments like hospital reports, prescriptions and new clothes they had bought ahead of Durga Puja. Reacting to the incident S. S. Roy. who is the Indian Airlines’ Station Master stationed at Silchar, said, ‘Despite of’ best efforts, the luggage remains untraceable.The message was communicated to me by our regional office”.Chakraborty, meanwhile has served a legal notice to Indian Airlines authority over the matter and are willing to
take up the case at the Consumers’ Court if their issue is not resolved at the earliest.
2.Seven Temples Looted Overnight In Assam
In a series of thefts last night. at Ieast seven temples were targeted by thieves. In Assam, looting away centuries old idols and cash.among other valuables.
The centuries old siddheswar Devalaya in Sualkuchi in Kamrup (Rural) district was targeted by thieves for the third time last night.The thieves took away two antique idols and other valuables from the temple.
The temple authorities said similar burglaries had taken placeIn the temple twice earlier but police had been unable to nab the culprits or recover the stolen items.
In main city Guwahati, as many five temples in close vicinity ln Maligaon area were looted last night.The thieves looted cash from Donnation boxes and other valuable items.
In yet another similar theft a temple in Ranthali In Nagaon distrIct was targeted by burglars, who look away idols and other valuable items.

A hijacker at Silchar narshingtola caught in hand of public while hijacking a customer bag from prestige showroom in Silchar.
The hijacker has been identified as Dilbar Hussain Laskar Age- 23 yrs Address: bhagabazar
It was to be known that10 thousand rupees was there in the bag of the customer
