1. Ram temple site on Google Maps sets social media abuzz.
NEW DELHI: It was a
moment of happy anticipation for diehard Ram bhakts but a
shocker for Google Maps users who are out of step with the latest goings-on in
Ayodhya. The latter were in for a surprise on Saturday when a location
Indicator saying ‘Mandir yahin
banega’ appeared on the ancient town’s map. The marker was placed near the
disputed site of the demolished Ram
Janmabhoomi-Babri
Masjid structure.
The slogan ‘Mandir
yahin banaavenga’ has been used by several right-wing outfits for
(decades to push
(heir demand for building a kani temple at the disputed site. The new
location indicator
with a slight variation of the slogan was
promptly noticed and
began being talked about on the social media space.
google reportedly
ascribed the lapse to unhelpful edits suggested by users and said it fixed the
issue and got the marker removed. The marker. earlier visible If one typed ‘Ram
Janmbhoomi’ on the Google
Maps, can’t be seen
anymore. The Disputed
Structure in Ayodhya was Demolished by Lakhs of Karsekas on December 6, 1992
claiming the land on which
the mosque stood was the bIrth place of lord Ham.
The incident
triggered riots across the country. Amidst the loudest chatter for construction
of the Ham temple in nearly two decades, political leaders have now begun
discussing the possibility of an Ordinance by the government.
To this end, the
Supreme Court will hear the Ram Janrnabhoorni-Babri Masjid title suit in
January. 2019.
The concerned
parties have appealed against the Allahabad If high Court’s 2010 judgment of
dividing the disputed land Into three parts one each for the Sunni Wakf Board,
the Nirmohi Akhara and Ram Lalla — the primary
players in the matter.

The Shiv Sena and
the VHP held a Dharm Sabha on November 25 in Ayodhya to ates have drawn an

temple.
2. NINE NDFB CADRES ARRESTED.
GUWAHATI: A joint
team of Army and police arrested nine cadres of the
anti-talk faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB)
along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border on Sunday
evening, officials said. The cadres were returning to Assam
after completing their training in Myanmar, Defenee
Spokesman, Lt. Col. AP Khongsai said here. “The complete
group was busted while infiltrating Into India from
their training camp in Myanmar. An Ambush was established on their innitration
route and an nine cadres were nabbed, "he said adding that the operation

3. Train 18 breaches 180 kmph speed during trials.
CHENNAI: India’s
first locomotives less train or Train 18 on Sunday breached the 180 kmph speed

added. If all things go well. Train 18 will replace the current Shatabdi
Express - a day train.Train 18 is capable of touching 2OO kmph provided that
the rest of Indian Railways’ system such as (racks and signals permit. Mani had
earlier said. Querried about rolling
out a sleeper
version of Train 18, he said: We can roll out sleeper coaches as well. No major
modificationions to the train would be needed for that.” The ICF will roll out
one moreTraln l8 this fiscal and four by the next fiscal. On the export

demand will be met

that enhance passenger comfort are inter connected fully supported gangways,
automatic doors with retractable foot-steps, onboard Wi-Fi and infotainment,
GPS-based passenger information system, modular toilets with bio-vaccum
systems, rotational seats which can be aligned in the direction of
travel(avaibale only in the executive class), roller blinds and diffused led
lightining and disabled friendly toilets.
There are also
emergency talk-back units, through which passenger can talk to crew in case of
emergency, while CCTV are provided in all coaches for safe and secure travel.
4. Attempt to rob ATM failed.
JOHAT. An attempt to
steal an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) by miscreants failed after the
police was
immediately intimated which resulted In tight Naka checking in the area that
made them
flee. abandoning the
ATM. at Bahona area in .Jorhat district on Saturday night.
According to police.
several miscreants attempted to break open the Union Bank of India (1391) ATM
but unable to do so,
they simply lifted it in their car and fled from the spot. “I intimated the
police when I saw the incident happening.” said Anibesan Barua. a resident of
the area.
5. Two businessmen attacked and robbed.
NAGAON: In an
incident, two businessmen identified as Ohidul Islam and
Abdul Faruk suffered severe injuries and were robbed after unidentified
miscreants attacked them and took away their cash, at Chulung Tiniali area in
Nagaon district on Sunday. Reportedly. the duo was on their way to home In a
motorbike carrying their business money. The
miscreants suddenly attacked them with sharp weapons and looted the cash before
fleeing. The injured duo was admitted at Jakhalabandha Hospital for
treatment while investigations are on to nab the culprits.
