DEADBODY RECOVERED FROM banks of Ghagra river near Atalbasti Ramnagar-Sonabarighat bypass.
SILCHAR : In the early hours of Friday, Jan 18 local people saw a dead body of a girl lying on the banks of Ghagra river near Atalbasti Ramnagar-Sonabarighat bypass. Though the identity of the deceased girl could not be identified, yet it seems that the girl will be aged between 27 to 28 years & was in a blue jeans and black-and-white dress.
The place from where the dead body was
recovered is most a secluded one. It is still not clear how, when and why she
was killed (or died). Some blood stains were found near the body. Local people informed the police after
spotting the body early in the morning on Friday. Police has recovered the body
and sent for post-mortem at Silchar Medical College(SMC).The body will kept in the morgue for 24 hours
for identification. According to local people, the girl was first raped and then murdered. #360
