Aditya Dhar's Uri: The Surgical Strike, starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, might not have opened to great reviews from film critics but the film had a "good start" at the box office on its opening day, reports Box Office India.
s.Rs.8.25 crore on Day 1.
"Uri had a pretty good opening day of around 8-8.25 crore net. and clashed with with Anupam Kher's The Accidental Prime Minister at the box office, which collected over 3.50 crore on its opening day.This is a very good number considering the face value of the film though if we compare with the films of last year then the value is less," stated Box Office India.
The 1st film of 2019 is URI: The surgical strike. The term surgical strike we became familiar with in 2016 .The film has been written & directed by Mr. Dhar. The film has been released on 11 January, 2019 & the trailer was released in 5th December, 2018. The film had a good start in the box office all over India.
Uri is based on the 2016 surgical strikes on Pakistan, after the Uri Base Camp in Jammu & Kashmir was attacked

In SILCHAR we can see the rush in all the cinema halls. As Soon as the film was released all the tickets were bought. We could see people of every generation enjoying the film, & why not it is a real incident & we all Indians are very proud of it. But it is seen that mostly youths are very much liking the film. On the very 1st day there was a huge rush in front of Gold Digital Cinema & the Eyelex . Today also the situation was more or less same. Now let's see what happens next. I personally think that it will be a hit in the box office.The lead character of Uri is Vicky Kaushal. We could also see Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam & many more actors.
