Photojournalist Malin Sharma demise yesterday night at a road mishap.
Silchar 28; Sunday night at around 10:45 Molin Sharma lost his life in a road mishap while returning to his home after completion of work. He was spot dead by a Tipper near Tarapur fire brigade.
With the spread of the news other journalists, his friends & family rush to the spot but at that time he was in eternal rest. OC of Sadar thana, Ditumani Goshami, TSI Samarjit Roy, Traffic incharge Santanu Das & many others were present at the place.
As per information , Malin - the photojournalist of BTN was returning to his residence, Gosai para of Sibbari road, Tarapur by covering a program of the Inner wheel club at Rotary Club Bhavan.
At that time of the night the roads were quite so nobody noticed. But the members of fire brigade heard the sound & after reaching the spot they could see a Human who was crushed by some vehicle.
None could accept the incident of the renowned photojournalist. His Elder brother Malay Sharma, wife Shima Sharma & daughter Minakhi Sharma reached the spot with tears in their eyes. Police took the body for post mortem at silchar medical college & hospital.
The local people in association with the journalist blocked the road against the police force. They said that in front of the Tarapur police everyday someone or the other has to face road mishap & sometimes life is also lost. But police could do nothing but only witness the incident. The people who blocked the path took decision about finding the tipper & to punish the driver. Till now police are waiting for the CCTV footage through which they could find the culprit & punish.
