Cachar admin pays homage to Bhupen Hazarika.
Cachar administration on Friday, organisaed a program in silchar to pay homage to music maestro Late Bhupen Hazarika, who was conferred with the country's highest Civilian Award- Bharat Ratna on Thursday.
The program held on the premises of DC office on Friday afternoon was attended by many intellectual, educationist, media & students.
According to our correspondence we came to know that DC of cachar Laya Madduri showed praises on Hazarika for his immense contribution on the field of music. She said that Hazarika's life can be a great inspiration for the generation to come. Further she interacted with the students & advised them not to fall pray to the negative effects of mobile phones & other gadgets.
Cachar additional deputy commissioner Bikram Dev Sharma, Prakeiti news concern's chairman Haran Dey , owner of Dainik Samayik Prasanga Taimur Raja Choudhury, & social worker Mridul Mazumder were also present.
