NRC claims another life.
One more life has lost to NRC. A resident of Karichara , Satyendra Paul 74, died contemplating what will be his fate if he fails to make it to the final NRC list.
Paul died of heart attack. According to our correspondent " in 2014 my father was served with a Foreigner's notice.
Hailakandi police arrested him and sent him to silchar central jaiom but he came out on bail due to our lawyer Prithish Das who pleaded his case" so Liton Paul said adding" in 2016 the court declared him to be an Indian citizen. But the stigma of a foreigner didn't go. He was again summoned around two years back by Foreigners Tribunal."
Paul is survived by his wife, three daughters & one son.
