Traders attack : Rs. 80,000 cash, ornaments worth 2lakhs looted.
Silchar: A group of 10-12 unidentified armed miscreants attacked Piklu Choudhury, a businessman, at around 1:30 am on Thursday in his home at Sildibi located in Sonai Grant under silchar police station. They tied him and asked him to give the keys of his shop situated near his home. They looted Rs. 80,000 in cash , ornaments worth 2lakhs from his home & other valuable items from the shop. The miscreants, who came in a sumo, took advantage of the darkness & fled with the looted cash & items. They warned Piklu of dire consequences if he dares to inform anyone about it. It took 40-45 mins for the miscreants to do away with their crime. Through police went to investigate the matter with dog squad this morning, they have not been able to find any clue.
