Former Principal & Renowned Poet Brajendra Kumar Singh is no more.
01 September, Hailakandi : Retired Principal of S.S. College, Hailakandi & Renowned poet of North-East, Brajendra Kumar Singha breathed his last breath on Saturday Evening at about 5:10 PM at his own residence in hailakandi. He was a Proffessor of Economics and well knowed for his writtings in Bengali and Bishnupriya. He was 83 years old and survived by his two sons daughter-in-law and grand childreens.
According to sources, A programme was arranged in this last saturday at
his residence in memory of his wife who passed away 14 days ago. Unfortunately
he suffered a massive heart attack and breathed his last.
Singhs body was kept in his residence for his younger son who will reach
today morning from Singapore. His body will be taken in terms of rally to S.S.
College Hkd, Rotary club, Bongo Sahitto Sanskrit Sammelon Office to pay for his
last tribute and lastlly to Samshan Ghat of Hailakandi for Cremation.
