Myanmar Buddha Temple To Be Presented By Udharbond Hospital Road Durga Puja Committee

04, September Udharbond [Bikram Das] : Udharbond Hospital Road Durga Puja Committee is organizing the Big Budget Puja along with Udharbond Kalibari Road Durga Puja Committee. This year their attraction is Buddhist Temple Swe Taw Myat Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar.
The pandel/mandap will be made of cloth and plywood & height of the pandal will be 75 feet. Mandap will be decorated by Kolkata's famous artisians Chandan Majhi and Narayan Ghosh.
The idol will be made with various coconut products. No colors will be used to make the Idol. It will be made of coconut leaves, shells and thistles. Artist of Calcutta Uttam Jana will make this idol. It will be of twenty feet high.

The committee officials said this while holding a press conference at the auditorium hall of Udharbond Hospital Road Durga Puja Commitee on Sunday. Boycotting Plastic, Thermocol and other non-biodegradable items, they said the idol of the goddess will be painted with plaster of paris clay inside the southern Indian temple. Also Light Decoration around the area of Pandel.
Maha prashad will be given to the locals & also to the visitors for 3 days. Also there will be cultural programs every day. In the days of Puja, security has been given great importance so as not to cause any untoward incident. There will be CCTV cameras along with volunteers inside and outside the porch.
They also said that they are going to worship this Big Budget for the third time, with the help of local people. Special access will be made for the disabled and the elderly peoples.They do not have to pay any kind of entry price to visit/enter.
Last year, from Poddar Toyota they received Best Pandel and Best Protima (idol) Award. Their committee also received best award from Icchedana Magazine for the best fancy idol in the district.
During the Puja administration, visitors had to face problems due to the closure of the VIP road.So the visitors went to visit the temple and idol of Durga Pujo on Kalibari Road. This time, they demanded the normalization of small traffic on Puja VIP road and reforming the VIP road, they said. Terror prevails among local people since robbery took place in udharbond from past 1-2 months.Therefore, the police administration and village guard forces urged them to be alert.
