Rs. 59,000 vanished from SBI Account-North Tripura
Kanchanpur/North Tripura : [Ratish Nath] :: Zahram Riang, a resident of Joypara, a Jhum farmer in a remote area of 23 km from Kanchanpur, worked hard to earn money and started making money at SBI Bank of Kanchanpur branch. After one or two months, the farmer gradually saved Rs 59,000 on his account (Account number 35078190412).
According to Sources, Suddenly on 31-07-2019 a banking SMS came on Zahram Riang's mobile phone and the SMS showed balance of only Debit Avl Bal INR 336.15. He felt tensed and camed to SBI Bank in Kanchanpur branch on 04/08/2019 to withdraw the money, but the bank official told Jhumishan Jahram , he doesn't have the amount in his account to withdraw. He immediately updated his pass book and sees that, on the same date somebody has stolen Rs.59,000 from his account by using 3 different ATMs.
On query, Bank Officer, SBI Kanchanpur Branch told the poor farmer that the money was withdrawn from Siliguri using three ATMs number 8016, 8022, 8015 on 04-05-2019.
On hearing this message, Zahram Zoom cultivator approached Kanchanpur police station on 09-09-2019 and filed FIR at Kanchanpur police station. Riang came to SBI Bank Manager with a receipt copy. Kanchanpur police are investigating the complaint of the poor farmer.
