1. Week Long Workshop At Gurucharan College, Silchar




A Workshop Has been organised by GC college Bioinformatics Center & Institutional Biotech Hub IQSE. It will continue till 30th November, 2018.  The inaguration Ceremony  of principal & Techonisis inn interdisciplinary scientific Research and management held on Saturday was by the honourable Principal of GC College, Silchar Dr. Bhibas Deb.
Dr. Sanjeeb Bhattarchajee, registar of Assam University delivered a short speech about the importane, signifacance & relevance of these kind of workshops.
Dr. Suprabhir Dutta, controller of examinations Assam university also analysed  the workshop . Atlast , the coordinator of IQSE Dr. Abhijeet Nath thanked all the Guests and conducted the program.



2. Reducing Load , students of classes 1 -2 should not be given Homework. says UHRDM







    In a move: to regulate the teaching of the students and weight of school bags, the union Human
    Resources Development Ministry has instructed all States and Union Territories to abide by the guidelines of the centre

    Here what should be the weight of schoolbags:

    CLASSES 1&2:1.5 KG
    CLASSES 3-5: 2-3 KG
    CLASSES 6-7: 4 KG
    CLASSES 8-9: 5 KG
    CLASS 10: 5 KG

  1. In April 2016, CBSE too issued a notice to all its affiliated schools to employ methods to reduce the weight of school bags for students . It reiterated that schools should make sure that students carry only such textbooks as necessary per the time table.
  2. In 2016, the union ministry also begin a plot project in 25 kendriya vidyalayas to reduce school bag weight by providing time tables.
  3. The centre has aslo directed schools to ensure that no homework to be given to students of classes 1 and 2.  


3. Paper mill workers to shun panchayat election.







The  workers of Cachar paper  Mill organised  a protest meeting in Front of the mills entrance
gate on Monday and unanimously decided to boycott the panchayat election in protest against the  government failure and reviving the mill and clearing their Pending  5alaries. Cachar paper , the only major industrial  undertaking In South Assam's Barak Valley, is located in panchgram in hailakandi district.


4. APSC PRELIMS NOW ON DECEMBER 30.






The APSC examInation the Combined Competitive (Prelims). 2018 which was postponed and stated for November 24, 2018 has been rescheduled and will be conducted on December 30, 2018. Canditate already eligible to appear the examinations will be issued fresh e-admission certificates with fresh date.


5. 1st National Milk Day observed in Meghalaya.





National Milk Day that was started on November 26 , 2014 to mark the birth anniversary of the
father of White Revolution, Dr Verghese Kurien  was observed across Meghalaya on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister In charge of Animal Husbandry & Veteiinary, Prestone Tynsong said that with the objective of raising awareness among the  parents and all stakeholders especially young children about the onsume milk because it is often found to be adulteratd. He also said that the Quality  and specifications of the milk need to be  strictly adhered to. He aslo informed that during the current financial  year the National Cooperative development Corporation has funded the state with 215 crores to transform milk production In the State through the Milk Mission that the government launched this year. Tynsong said that the government is aslo contem and though milk consumption.In the state is low it increasing by 3% every year. He added that meghalaya has suitable climate for diary farming and thr diary industry in the state  has plenty oppurtinities though the milk skill is not yet developed. Kumar also informed that the meghalaya Milk Mission will organise dairy cooperatives in the state and equip them with the right skill and knowledge.
